Edo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice's husband, has commented on the value of spending time with his family, amidst ongoing rumors about their marriage. Mapelli Mozzi, who married Beatrice in 2020, shared his thoughts during a Q&A session with The Gentleman's Journal on Wednesday.
When asked about his ideal holiday, Mapelli Mozzi stated, "Getting off the beaten track, disconnecting from emails and news, and spending time with my family." He further described his "biggest luxury" as "experiences, travel and time with family," adding that "time with family and friends" is his ultimate form of relaxation.
These comments come as reports suggest potential strain on the couple's marriage, partly influenced by the fallout from the Epstein scandal involving Princess Beatrice's father, Prince Andrew. Sources have previously indicated to the Daily Mail that "things haven't been great for a while." Mapelli Mozzi is also reportedly concerned about the impact of these connections on his business, with his own family reportedly wishing for him to maintain distance from the York family's controversies.
Speculation was further fueled in March when Mapelli Mozzi traveled to Florida to promote his interior design studio, Banda Property, rather than remain with Beatrice during the release of the Epstein Files. This decision led to further media attention and rumors about the state of their marriage.
In recent months, Beatrice and Edo Mapelli Mozzi have appeared together publicly, including a photographed outing in Athens last month, which was interpreted by some as an attempt to present a united front amid the rumors.
Earlier in the month, Mapelli Mozzi also publicly acknowledged the Princess of Wales on social media after her completion of the Three Peaks Challenge for cancer awareness. This gesture occurred amidst speculation about the relationship between the Princess of Wales and the York princesses.
