Ed Sheeran made a rare public appearance with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, on Tuesday to support his favored football club, Ipswich FC, as they competed against Leicester City. The couple was seen in the stands at Portman Road stadium, where Ipswich secured a 3-1 victory in the second round of the EFL Cup.

During the match, Sheeran, 35, was observed in good spirits, even capturing moments of the game with a camera. Seaborn, 34, wore a blue baseball cap and conversed with her husband. The couple, married since 2019, had reason to celebrate the team's win.

Meanwhile, a watch gifted by Sheeran to his Mathematics Tour crew has reportedly surfaced for sale. The Tudor Black Bay 58, one of 130 commissioned by the singer, features custom engraving on its case back reading, "Thank you for all your hard work on this tour, love Ed x," and mathematics symbols. The watch was listed by Bolton Auction Rooms with an opening bid of £9,000, with an estimated sale price between £15,000 and £20,000.

This appearance and the watch controversy coincide with Sheeran's revealed plans to construct a large wildlife pond at his recording studio complex. The proposal submitted to Mid Suffolk Council describes the feature as a "small habitat pond" intended to boost biodiversity on his Suffolk estate, which houses his £1.1 million studios. The plans include a boardwalk and wildflower planting. However, observers have noted the pond's significant size, exceeding 9,000 square feet, leading to some local concerns about potential misuse by artists at the facility. Sheeran has faced scrutiny over wildlife ponds before; approval for a previous £500,000 pond at his estate in 2016 was granted with the condition it would not be used for swimming. The current proposal states there is no intention to stock the pond with fish or permit fishing, and no nearby residents would be adversely affected.
