EasyJet to Cover Cost of Baby's First Passport with Holiday Bookings
A new promotion by easyJet holidays aims to alleviate financial burdens for families traveling with infants.
Parents booking easyJet holidays can now have the cost of their baby's first passport covered, a move that could save families £66.50. This initiative seeks to address a financial hurdle identified by parents when planning trips with newborns.
Research conducted by the airline indicated that over a third of parents surveyed found the cost of a baby's passport to be a significant obstacle to taking a holiday. Despite these challenges, a large majority of parents, 82 percent, view their baby's first holiday as an important milestone, with 57 percent considering it a proud parenting achievement.
Last year, easyJet transported over 22,000 infants, with city breaks being a popular choice for young families. The airline's survey also revealed that 75 percent of parents believe this new scheme would make traveling with a baby feel more accessible financially.
Captain Kate West of easyJet stated that the airline aims to make travel as easy and accessible as possible for all passengers, particularly young families. She expressed hope that covering the passport cost would contribute to making the first family adventure a little simpler and provide a warm welcome to the world for the youngest travelers.
Many parents find package holidays offer reassurance when traveling with a baby for the first time. Approximately 78 percent agreed that package deals remove the uncertainty of planning, and 64 percent found them helpful in maintaining routines while abroad.
Stuart Wright, customer director at easyJet holidays, remarked that the initiative is intended to help families create cherished memories sooner. He highlighted that by covering the cost of a baby's first passport, in conjunction with existing offers like value packages, family-friendly hotels, and free child places, easyJet holidays is further enhancing the ease and affordability of family vacations.
The offer is valid for one child up to 18 months old per holiday booked between October 22 and November 26.
