EasyJet Partners with Elon Musk's Starlink for In-Flight Wi-Fi
Budget airline to offer satellite internet service starting next year, following a public spat between Ryanair's CEO and Musk.

EasyJet has announced a partnership with Elon Musk's Starlink to provide onboard Wi-Fi service to its passengers. The rollout is expected to commence in the first half of next year and conclude by early 2028.
This agreement positions EasyJet to offer internet connectivity through Starlink's satellite communication system, allowing passengers to access the web while flying.
The deal follows a public disagreement between Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary and Elon Musk in January. O’Leary had expressed reservations about installing Starlink antennas on Ryanair jets, citing concerns about increased fuel drag and costs. Musk responded on social media, leading to a public exchange of insults.
Kenton Jarvis, EasyJet's CEO, stated that in an increasingly digital world, staying connected is crucial for customers. He highlighted that the partnership with SpaceX will enhance the passenger experience by offering high-speed internet, catering to the needs of both leisure and business travelers.
Gwynne Shotwell, President and Chief Operating Officer of SpaceX, expressed pride in bringing Starlink to EasyJet, noting that fast and reliable connectivity from takeoff to landing enables passengers to work, stream content, or stay in touch without interruption.
EasyJet, one of Europe's largest airlines, carried approximately 100 million passengers in 2025.
