An easyJet flight en route from Tenerife to Liverpool was forced to return to its origin airport shortly after takeoff due to a disruptive passenger brawl involving approximately 10 individuals. The flight, carrying 186 passengers, diverted to Belgium where authorities met the aircraft.
An easyJet spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating the plane "returned to Tenerife South Airport after takeoff due to a group of passengers on board behaving disruptively." The airline indicated that its cabin and ground crews are trained to swiftly address onboard disturbances to ensure passenger safety.
"We take these incidents very seriously and do not tolerate disruptive behavior toward our staff," the spokesperson added. "The safety and well-being of customers and crew is always our highest priority."
The flight later continued its journey to Liverpool after the disruption was managed. The incident adds to a recent string of passenger disturbances reported on commercial flights.
