Earl Spencer, the brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, has spoken about the profound and lasting impact of sibling loss, stating he misses his sister every day.
In an interview with the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg, Spencer described the unique nature of grief for a sibling, saying, "That's the thing with sibling loss, you never get over it." He elaborated on his upcoming book, "Swan Song: Diana, My Sister," which is scheduled for publication on Tuesday. Spencer indicated that the book is expected to offer a critical perspective on the Royal Family's treatment of Diana.
He explained that the title "Swan Song" signifies his "sign off" as Diana's brother and represents his final reflections on the situation. "This is my swan song too. I'm not here to bang on about Diana, this is my final word, celebration of her," Spencer told Kuenssberg.
