Earl Spencer Claims Palace is 'Gaslighting' Him Over Bombshell Diana Book

Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, has accused the Palace of attempting to 'gaslight' him regarding claims made in his new book. The book, which is being serialized by the Daily Mail, details alleged conversations and events following Diana's death in 1997.

Spencer claims that days after his sister's passing, Prince Charles told him, "Rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough." He also recounts an argument with Charles during which Spencer expressed discomfort with his nephews, Princes William and Harry, walking behind their mother's coffin during the funeral procession.

Buckingham Palace has publicly questioned the accuracy of Spencer's account, with a spokesperson stating that "fraternal grief can cloud reason, affect judgment and colour memory." Allies of King Charles III have reportedly criticized Spencer, referring to him as a "much-married man" and questioning his "reliability and morality."
