Pennsylvania authorities are seeking at least two suspects in connection with a home invasion that occurred early Saturday morning at the residence of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley and his family were inside the home at the time of the incident.
Tredyffrin Township Police Capt. Tyler Moyer stated that the primary concern was the safety of the residents, all of whom were unharmed. Police were dispatched to Barkley's home around 5 a.m. on Saturday following a report of a burglary in progress. The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.
Law enforcement has released an image of a white SUV that may be linked to the burglary. Moyer indicated that investigators have confirmed more than one suspect was involved but are still working to determine the exact number. According to reports, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office does not believe any items were taken from the home.
The incident involving Barkley's home follows a pattern of recent break-ins targeting NFL players. In May, Chilean police announced the arrest of three individuals wanted by the FBI for burglaries at the homes of NFL players Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes. Police are examining all potential connections, given the number of similar incidents involving professional athletes' homes in recent years.
