Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Sidelined by Blood Clot in Calf

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will miss at least Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to a blood clot in his calf. The team was aware of the injury after it was sustained during an Oct. 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

A follow-up ultrasound on Wednesday night revealed that the blood clot had moved, prompting the team's decision to sideline Hurts. He had previously described the injury as "very unique" when questioned about it.

The Eagles are currently 2-3 on the season and are coming off three consecutive losses, including a 19-17 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, which was decided by a last-second field goal.
