Eagles Guard Dickerson Deflects Questions on Future, Directs Inquiries to Management
Landon Dickerson expressed a desire to remain with the Philadelphia Eagles but deferred discussions about his future to the team's general manager and coach.
Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson is nearing a return from a bone bruise in his right knee, amidst growing speculation about his future with the team. When asked if the team's management still believes in him as a long-term solution at guard, Dickerson stated, "That’s an upstairs decision, but I would very much enjoy to stay here my whole career."
Dickerson also directed reporters to team leadership for further clarification. "That’s a great question,” he added. “Do they have a media day for (coach) Nick [Sirianni] and (GM) Howie [Roseman]? You can ask them that.”
Dickerson's practice window opened earlier this week. His usual position at guard has been filled by second-year player Willie Lampkin, who has a Pro Football Focus grade of 44.6. Lampkin played all 62 snaps in the Eagles' recent loss to the Jaguars in London, allowing no sacks and committing no penalties, but was responsible for five pressures and one hit on quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Dickerson, 28, played through multiple injuries during the 2025 season, earning a 67.2 overall PFF grade, which is considered average in the league. His uncertain future comes as the Eagles' offensive line faces turmoil. Tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement last week, and the team subsequently traded center/guard Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens for a second-round draft pick.
Regarding Johnson's retirement, Dickerson commented, “Lane was filled with a lot and he did what was best for him. I think he’s at peace with and all of the guys in here are happy for that. Cam same thing. It’s tough to see guys leave but at the end of the day it’s a business and decisions get made for the business and that’s how it goes.”
The Eagles' offensive line has seen significant changes, contributing to their current ranking of No. 18 in the league. Jordan Mailata remains a stable presence at left tackle, but other positions have experienced frequent adjustments.
