Dylan Sprouse has discovered a surprising genetic connection with his twin brother, Cole Sprouse. During a recent appearance on the "Wildmen Podcast," Dylan revealed that a genealogy program indicated they are "children of incest."

Explaining the findings, the 34-year-old actor shared that his research on Ancestry.com uncovered that both sides of his family were present in California during the 1800s Gold Rush. By the end of that century, these branches of the family had joined through marriage.

"And then, they diverged, and then they married again [through] my mom and my dad, like, last generation," Dylan explained, humorously noting the convoluted nature of his family tree. He shared that he called Cole to relay the "f

f--king crazy" news, but his twin brother reacted by hanging up.

Dylan first became suspicious of potential familial overlaps after learning that his and Cole's father's paternal uncles were identical twins. "I'd only ever thought that identical twins or twins in general came from my mom's side of the family," Dylan stated. "We had seven sets of twins in four generations. Which is crazy."

He concluded, "The reason we have a lot of twins is because it's the same family!" He further elaborated on the unusual family history by recounting a story about an aunt who was a twin, but one who allegedly consumed her twin in the womb, with a cyst containing teeth and hair found upon examination.

"Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest," Dylan declared.

The Sprouse twins achieved widespread fame as child actors, most notably for their roles as Zack (Dylan) and Cody (Cole) in the Disney Channel series "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."

In a recent personal development, Dylan and his wife, Barbara Palvin, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sylvie, last month. Palvin recently discussed their daughter's milestones, including her ability to recognize faces and smile and laugh at jokes, which Dylan described as "all a dad can really dream of."
