Dylan Sprouse Claims He and Twin Cole Are 'Children of Incest' After Genealogy Discovery

Dylan Sprouse has revealed a startling discovery about his family tree, claiming that he and his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, are the result of incestuous relationships. The actor, 34, shared these revelations during a recent episode of the "Wildmen" podcast.

Sprouse explained that his exploration into his family history began through the genealogy program Ancestry. He noted that he has a fractured family on his father's side and began connecting with relatives he had never met. During this process, he uncovered a significant number of twins within his family.

"When I first took it, my actual breakdown of history was very different than it is now," Sprouse recounted on the podcast. "I've found a lot of family members, weirdly, who I never met, because my dad's side of the family is pretty fractured."

He learned that both sides of his family had migrated to California during the Gold Rush. A portion of his relatives discovered gold, and eventually, both sides of the family converged through marriage in the 1800s after settling in the same region. The branches of the family later diverged before his mother and father married, representing the most recent union.

Further investigation revealed that his father's side also had identical twins. Sprouse shared his conversation with his brother Cole about the findings, stating, "I called Cole, I showed him a picture, I was like, 'Dude, I just found out some fing crazy s.'"

Sprouse had previously believed that multiple sets of twins only originated from his mother's lineage. "We had seven sets of twins in four generations," he revealed, emphasizing that it was within the same extended family. "Because it's the same family."

The actor suggested that his parents were unaware of this familial pattern. "A lot of stuff started to make sense," he added. He also shared a particularly unsettling detail about one of his aunts, who he described as having experienced a rare phenomenon where "one of my aunts was a twin, but she was one of the twins who ate her twin in the womb, and when they cut open a cyst in her shoulder, it had teeth and hair."

Concluding his story, Sprouse stated, "Long story short, Cole and I are children of incest," though he humorously added that he does not have webbed toes.

The Sprouse twins, Dylan and Cole, are the children of Melanie Wright and Matthew Sprouse. Cole Sprouse previously spoke about their upbringing in 2023, revealing on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast that he and his brother were compelled to become child actors to support their family financially.

In addition to these revelations, Dylan Sprouse recently welcomed a daughter named Sylvie with his wife, Barbara Palvin. The couple, who married in 2023, announced their daughter's arrival in September. Palvin recently returned to the runway, walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show six weeks after giving birth. She commented on her swift postpartum recovery, attributing it to a healthy diet and light exercise during and after her pregnancy.
