Dylan Sprayberry, known for his role in MTV's "Teen Wolf," has become a father, welcoming his first child with wife Prunette Karl. The actor announced the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the infant holding onto his wife's hand. This milestone comes approximately 10 months after the couple's wedding in the Oregon wilderness.

Sprayberry, 28, also recently revealed his affiliation with the Church of Scientology, stating he has been a Scientologist for three years. He explained on Instagram that he turned to Scientology to address anxiety and depression, which he believes led him to substance abuse. The actor shared that he has been sober for about five years, with his sobriety journey beginning around age 23.

He described his experience with Scientology's "purification rundown," a detox program, as positive and enjoyable, noting its role in his spiritual journey. Sprayberry also highlighted L. Ron Hubbard's book "The Way to Happiness" as influential, stating it helped him understand how his actions and perspectives contributed to his mental state.

His public statements about Scientology have drawn a range of reactions from fans, with some expressing support for his sobriety and happiness, while others have voiced concerns about his religious affiliation.

The actor, who portrayed Liam Dunbar in "Teen Wolf" from 2014 to 2017 and reprised the role in "Teen Wolf: The Movie" in 2023, also hinted at his wife's pregnancy in a July 4 social media post showing her baby bump.

Several prominent figures, including Tom Cruise, John Travolta, and Elisabeth Moss, are also known members of the Church of Scientology.
