Duct-Taped Passenger Claims Amnesia Over Mid-Air Meltdown

An American Airlines passenger, identified as 67-year-old Arizona realtor Layne Lundeen, has claimed he has no recollection of a mid-air incident that led to him being duct-taped to his seat. The flight was diverted to Baltimore after Lundeen allegedly engaged in a severe racist and homophobic tirade.

Appearing before a judge following his arrest, Lundeen stated, "I don’t remember any of what happened." He reportedly expressed disbelief at the accusations, asking, "I assaulted a police officer? Is that what it says?"

After donning glasses and reviewing the allegations, Lundeen added, "Oh my God. What a mess. I don’t remember any of it."

Lundeen was reportedly traveling to assist one of his daughters with moving and to celebrate her birthday. Following the incident, he was fired from his job.

The emergency landing in Baltimore was necessitated by the severity of Lundeen's alleged behavior, which required other passengers to restrain him.
