Duchess of Sussex Adopts Burgundy Trend in Joint Appearance with Prince Harry
Meghan Markle embraced the autumnal hue head-to-toe for a public engagement in Nottingham, drawing parallels to Princess Kate's fashion choices.
The Duchess of Sussex recently appeared in a striking burgundy ensemble during a joint public engagement with the Duke of Sussex in Nottingham. The color choice has been noted as a popular seasonal trend, also favored by the Princess of Wales.
The couple visited The Community Recording Studio, a location significant as the site of their first royal engagement together approximately nine years prior. For this occasion, Meghan wore a wool and cashmere-blend coat from Joseph, complemented by Lorenzo 105 burgundy heels from Jennifer Chamandi.
Her outfit also included a crepe skirt from The Fold and a roll-neck jumper, also from Joseph. Demonstrating attention to detail, the Duchess modified her heels by removing the strap and adjusted her coat by detaching an additional collar detail. She accessorized with a belt from M&S, a more accessible high-street item.
Meghan's monochromatic burgundy look has drawn comparisons to the style of the Princess of Wales, who has frequently worn the rich hue, often opting for monochrome outfits. Princess Kate has previously been seen in burgundy for various occasions, including a hospital visit in January. Other public figures, such as Victoria Beckham, have also been noted for wearing the color, sometimes in coordination with the Princess of Wales.
