A Nevada jury has found Duane "Keffe D" Davis guilty of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon in the 1996 drive-by shooting death of rap icon Tupac Shakur. The verdict was reached Monday following nine days of testimony in a trial that garnered significant attention.

Davis was the only person ever charged in connection with Shakur's killing. Jurors heard from 27 witnesses during the proceedings, weighing evidence in a case that has remained unsolved for nearly three decades.

The shooting occurred on September 7, 1996, on the Las Vegas Strip. A gunman in a white Cadillac opened fire on a BMW carrying Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight. Knight sustained minor injuries, while Shakur succumbed to his wounds six days later at the age of 25.
