Dua Lipa's Radical Optimism Tour Generates Staggering £23.4 Million in Profits
The pop sensation's media company reported daily earnings of £64,000 last year, driven by global tour, music, and merchandise sales.
Dua Lipa's media company, Radical22 Ltd., reported a substantial profit of £23.4 million last year, translating to daily earnings of approximately £64,000. These earnings stem from a combination of her music, royalties, touring, and merchandise sales.
The company, co-founded by the 31-year-old singer and her father, Dukagin, in 2014, is now valued at £73 million. A significant portion of the revenue was generated by her 81-date global "Radical Optimism" tour, which grossed £162 million.
Radical22 Live, another of Lipa's businesses focused on touring finances, also contributed to her overall success, netting £6.2 million in profit. The London-born artist is a director of seven companies in total, including those involved in lifestyle ventures like Service95 and film production.
Beyond her music ventures, Lipa has secured numerous lucrative brand partnerships with companies such as YSL Beauty, Porsche, Versace, Chanel, and Puma. She was recently named the global brand ambassador for Nespresso, with the brand aiming to attract Gen Z consumers. In the previous year, she launched her own skincare brand, DUA, in collaboration with Augustinus Bader, with products like moisturizers and serums selling for upwards of £60.
Looking ahead, Lipa is expected to maintain her profitable trajectory. She has confirmed she is working on her fourth album and has been seen at recording studios in New York. Rumors suggest a fourth worldwide tour is in the works, with potential concerts planned for Wembley next year.
These financial successes follow her recent £1.9 million wedding to actor Callum Turner in Sicily. Turner, who is reportedly a contender to play James Bond, has an estimated net worth of £7.5 million.
Lipa began her music career after studying at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, signing a publishing deal with TaP Music and later a record deal with Warner. Her debut single, "New Love," was released in 2015, followed by her self-titled album in 2017. Her 2020 album, "Future Nostalgia," received critical acclaim and garnered two Brit awards and a Grammy. In 2022, Lipa ended her partnership with TaP Music, appointed her father as manager, and acquired the rights to her music catalogue.
