Dua Lipa and Callum Turner Attend Metropolitan Opera Gala
The singer and actor couple arrived hand-in-hand at the New York City event.
Dua Lipa and her husband Callum Turner attended the Metropolitan Opera's opening night gala in New York City on Monday night. The couple arrived together, holding hands as they made their way to the performance of "Lincoln in the Bardo."
Lipa wore a black Ferragamo gown from the Spring 2027 collection, which featured paillettes, a side slit, and off-the-shoulder sleeves. She styled her hair back and wore Ferragamo heels. Turner opted for a black suit.
Adapted from George Saunders' 2017 novel, "Lincoln in the Bardo" takes place over one night as President Lincoln grapples with the loss of his young son Willie.
Lipa spoke at the event about her appreciation for opera, stating, "Opera really just touches on all our human emotions, you know, love and grief and loss and ambition and hope and all these things that make it so special." She recently attended an opening night gala for Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italy, where she watched "La Traviata."
Other notable attendees at Monday's event included Amy Poehler, Bowen Yang, Andrew Nixon, and Kate Walsh.
Earlier in the month, Lipa and Turner were seen on a dog walk in New York with their dog, Golo. The couple, who married in June, previously had a legal ceremony in May followed by a larger wedding in Italy.
Lipa shared that their wedding day was "magical" and that they focused on "keeping track of each other throughout the crowd" to create memories. She also discussed balancing her career and personal life, noting that she and Turner share a similar work ethic and creative understanding.
Regarding her music, Lipa suggested that her current happiness might influence her songwriting, moving from heartbreak-inspired songs to exploring the complexities of established love. Turner recently spoke about his desire to start a family with Lipa, and the couple is reportedly planning to relocate to the U.S. later in the year as Turner films new projects.
