Video released following her conviction shows Jamie Lee Komoroski, who was found guilty of drunkenly killing a bride on her wedding day, exhibiting unusual behavior in the hours after her arrest. The footage from the Folly Beach Police Department in South Carolina captures Komoroski, then 25, discussing topics ranging from allergies and ice cream to her pet and family heritage with arresting officers.

Komoroski was arrested on April 28, 2023, after striking a golf cart carrying newlyweds Samantha and Aric Hutchinson. The collision, which occurred at approximately 65 mph in a 25 mph zone, resulted in the instant death of Samantha Hutchinson and severe injuries to her husband and two wedding guests. Komoroski, who has since been sentenced to 25 years in prison, has been documented in the video engaging in lighthearted conversation while her hands were cuffed behind her back.

In the video, Komoroski can be heard talking about her struggles with seasonal allergies, inquiring about the officers' favorite cereals, and sharing details about her new kitten, Theo. She also commented on her preference for certain fast food establishments and ice cream flavors. At one point, she discussed her family's Polish heritage and even recounted stories about bats in her backyard.

Initially, Komoroski reportedly expressed concern for the bride's well-being, asking bystanders if Samantha was okay and urging officers to check on her. However, her demeanor in the released video appears to shift between tearfulness and a more conversational tone with law enforcement.

Authorities reported that Komoroski claimed to have consumed only one beer and one tequila drink prior to the crash. However, her blood alcohol content was found to be more than three times the legal limit when tested hours after her arrest. In December 2024, Komoroski pleaded guilty to felony DUI causing great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide. She had been held in jail for nearly a year before her sentencing.
