A man has been taken to the hospital after his car crashed off a cliff on the Great Orme headland in Wales. The incident occurred on Llandudno's Marine Drive, a five-mile toll road that circles the base of the limestone headland.
Witnesses reported seeing the driver behaving erratically, with the car seen ploughing through fields, fences, and walls before it ultimately flipped and fell off the steep drop to the Irish Sea. The Great Orme rises to 679 feet above sea level and features sheer cliffs.
Emergency services and recovery crews worked to retrieve the overturned vehicle from the precarious position on the slope. The car was eventually secured and driven away on a low loader.
Marine Drive is a popular tourist route and is also known for hosting competitive speed tests during motorsport events, including the Cambrian Rally and the Tour Britannia Rally.
