Drew Baldridge Offers Glimpse into Lives of Country Stars Jelly Roll and Luke Bryan

Country music artist Drew Baldridge has shared insights into the contrasting backstage experiences of fellow stars Jelly Roll and Luke Bryan. In a recent interview, Baldridge detailed Jelly Roll's dynamic and often surprising entourage, while highlighting Luke Bryan's grounded, "country boy" persona.

Baldridge described Jelly Roll's backstage area as exceptionally lively, suggesting it often mirrors the energy of the concert audience itself. "I mean, you walk in … it is like a stadium full of people out front, but there's a stadium full of people in the back," Baldridge stated. He attributed this to Jelly Roll's welcoming nature, which attracts a wide array of guests, including influencers seeking content. "My goodness, this guy is always on. And always has just an entourage of people, that is for sure."

In contrast, Baldridge characterized Luke Bryan's offstage life as more predictable and familiar. He compared Bryan to a childhood friend, noting that fame has not altered his personality. "You'd think all the success that he had that he would change who he is or anything, but that dude's just a country boy," Baldridge said. He recounted a recent dove-hunting trip with Bryan, describing the outing as a casual afternoon with an old acquaintance.

Baldridge was particularly impressed by Bryan's commitment to his family, specifically his efforts to attend his sons' football games despite a demanding touring schedule. He noted that Bryan would sometimes prioritize these family events over performing, which Baldridge found commendable. "Watching him never miss one of his son's football games, flying home and even taking off Friday night to make sure he was at his boy's game, not playing a show that night – that's been really cool, I think," Baldridge shared.

Baldridge, who recently released his album "FARM FAITH FAMILY," is also navigating the balance between his music career and family life. He and his wife have two young children, a five-month-old and a three-year-old. He explained that fatherhood has significantly influenced his perspective. "That has definitely been a whirlwind, balancing this musical career and also the family life of being a dad and a husband and figuring that out every day," he said.

His album, "FARM FAITH FAMILY," is structured around three core values that have shaped his life: farm life, faith, and family. The 16-track project includes songs like "Let ‘Em," dedicated to his sons, and "A Man Don't," which explores his views on masculinity, faith, and marriage.

Baldridge gained recognition for his RIAA Platinum-certified hit "She's Somebody's Daughter," which topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart and reached No. 3 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart. The song has garnered over 2 billion streams and impressions and was recognized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

Looking ahead, Baldridge is scheduled to headline his "FARM FAITH FAMILY Tour" and will join Bryan and Cody Johnson for select dates. He has previously toured internationally and opened for Jelly Roll. Baldridge has also been recognized as part of the 2025 Country Radio Seminar New Faces of Country Music class and named MusicRow's 2025 Independent Artist of the Year.
