Rapper Drake has revealed a custom, one-of-a-kind Rolex Daytona watch, adorned with diamonds and sapphires, which he described as "the most important thing I have ever had the pleasure of owning." The timepiece, officially called the "Ice Gradient Daytona," was commissioned to commemorate significant music achievements, specifically "the record breaking milestones of 2026," which include the simultaneous release of his trilogy of albums: "Iceman," "Habibti," and "Maid of Honour" on May 15.
This accomplishment marked Drake as the first artist to hold the top three spots on the Billboard 200 chart simultaneously. The album "Iceman" has also become the longest-running No. 1 of the year to date. The watch itself features a fully pavé dial, a sapphire bezel, and lugs. Its bracelet is encrusted with baguette-cut gemstones that transition from diamonds to blue sapphires. Engraved in blue lettering on the caseback is the phrase "Freeze the World," a lyric from his track "Make Them Know."
Rolex delivered the unique timepiece in a custom case with a matching blue lid. Drake cautioned against attempts to replicate the watch, stating, "Please do not get your local jeweler to recreate. This is a stand alone and a part of history."
Watch experts have estimated the value of this unique Rolex to be as high as $5 million, with some collectors noting that Rolex rarely produces such "pièce unique" models for clients in the present day. Drake's affinity for Rolex is well-documented; he boasted on his 2024 track "It's Up" that he owns "a hundred and forty-three Rolexes in my collection." A previous example of his collection's appreciation includes a gold GMT-Master II from the cover of his 2011 album "Take Care," which sold earlier this year for $500,000.
