Numerous prominent Hollywood figures, including Jennifer Aniston, have registered to vote using a West Hollywood business address as their home residence, raising questions about compliance with Los Angeles County election rules. A data analysis by the Daily Mail found 36 voters registered at Suite 600, 9200 Sunset Boulevard, the office of financial manager Michael Ullman, whose firm Platinum Financial Management, Inc. serves many celebrities. Ullman stated that the address is used for mail forwarding, and that clients do not live there, casting votes in their actual residential areas. However, county officials maintain that voter registration forms list these addresses as home residences.

According to voter registration regulations, individuals must declare their home address as their domicile when registering to vote, signing under penalty of perjury. Election law expert Amber Hulse noted that while a mailing address like a business office can be provided, a residential address is still required as a domicile. If a celebrity claims an office as their residence when it is not, it could constitute perjury under California law. None of the 36 voters registered at Ullman's office have an exemption on file to keep their residential address confidential.

Records show that several celebrities, including actress Laura Harrier and "Step Up" star Jenna Dewan, registered the office address as their residence in recent years. Aniston herself was last registered at the office address in January 2025. In the November 2024 general election, 27 of the 36 registered voters at the office cast ballots, including Aniston, who is a registered Democrat and has publicly supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

Some of the email addresses associated with these voter registrations are work emails linked to Platinum Financial Management. Registering at a business address instead of a home address could allow voters to cast ballots in a different jurisdiction, potentially influencing local elections for officials who would not represent their actual places of residence. West Hollywood, where the office is located, is a separate municipality from Los Angeles, with distinct elected officials.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder's office confirmed that dozens of voters are registered at Ullman's office address. A spokesperson stated that voters are only supposed to register where they actually live. While county officials strive to verify registrations, the office building at 9200 Sunset Boulevard has mixed residential and commercial use, including penthouse suites, which may have allowed these registrations to proceed. County spokesman Michael Sanchez explained that election officials process registrations based on the voter's sworn statement of domicile and cannot reject an application solely because an address appears to be commercial, as long as it meets legal requirements. The Daily Mail reported that none of the celebrities contacted responded with comments. The building also houses the private members club Soho House.
