Simon Levy, 40, from Tottenham, is accused of murdering Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo and Sheryl Wilkins. The jury was told that Levy is a convicted sex offender.

Valencia-Trujillo was found dead in the stairwell of a derelict building in Walworth, south London, on March 17, 2025. Prosecutors stated that Levy had traveled to the area the day before, when she was last seen alive. His DNA was found at the crime scene and on Valencia-Trujillo's body. The cause of her death was unascertained, though a post-mortem found no natural disease that could have caused or contributed to it, and she had a history of cocaine use.

Levy met Wilkins in Tottenham in August 2025. They went to a car park where prosecutors allege she was assaulted, raped, and strangled. CCTV footage showed Levy and Wilkins entering the car park just before 1 a.m. and going behind a wall. No one else entered that area until Wilkins' body was discovered the following morning by police. Levy was seen leaving the area around 1:52 a.m.

A post-mortem examination found 83 injuries on Wilkins' body. A blue North Face jacket recovered from Levy's home matched the one he was seen wearing on CCTV. Blood matching Wilkins' DNA was found on the jacket, and semen matching Levy's DNA was found on Wilkins' underwear.

Levy's defense lawyer argued that the alleged rape victim was not telling the truth and that her credibility was in question. The defense stated that she identified Levy in an identification parade because she had known him for years, not because he attacked her.

Following his arrest, Levy said in a prepared statement that he had consensual sex with a woman in the car park, and she had pre-existing bruising before she approached him. He claimed she was awake and conscious when he left and that he did not assault her in any way. Prosecutors told the jury that this claim was incorrect and that CCTV and the injuries found on Wilkins after her interaction with Levy proved it to be a lie. The trial is ongoing.
