A DoorDash customer in Houston has reported a deeply unsettling experience after a delivery driver was captured on security camera footage arriving at his home completely naked.
Kiante Matlock told FOX 26 Houston that he was alerted to his food's arrival by a notification on his phone. Upon checking his Ring doorbell camera, he was astonished to see the driver, who he initially mistook for wearing a onesie, was actually unclothed.
"And then to handle somebody's food … is ridiculous," Matlock stated. "There could have been an underage child coming to the door or a woman. … It's just sick."
By the time Matlock reached his front door, the driver had already departed the property. He confirmed that he did not consume the food delivered under these circumstances and received a full refund from DoorDash.
A spokesperson for DoorDash acknowledged the incident, calling the driver's behavior "abhorrent, vulgar and completely unacceptable." The company stated that the driver's access to their platform has been permanently removed. DoorDash also affirmed its zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment or misconduct and expressed readiness to cooperate with any law enforcement investigation.
Houston police advised residents to report any concerning behavior and to preserve surveillance footage or other evidence, noting that criminal charges could be possible depending on the findings of an investigation.
Matlock shared his experience in hopes of alerting others and advised caution, suggesting customers consider picking up their own orders if possible or ensuring they have security cameras installed.
The driver has not been identified.
