Jenny McCarthy expresses relief as actor and eight others onboard escape unharmed from incident at Harry Reid International Airport.
Jenny McCarthy publicly shared her relief after her husband, actor Donnie Wahlberg, was involved in a plane incident at Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday. Wahlberg confirmed the event Monday via Instagram, stating that the private jet he was on veered off the runway during a failed take-off, ultimately crashing into a fence. No injuries were reported among the eight people on board, including Wahlberg and his team.
Wahlberg, 57, addressed concerns from fans in a video posted to Instagram, detailing the "intense few moments" of the incident. He expressed gratitude to God and the pilots for ensuring everyone's safety. "The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not," he stated. Emergency personnel on the ground in Las Vegas were also commended by Wahlberg for their swift response.
The incident led to the temporary closure of two runways at the airport for inspection. The Federal Aviation Administration also paused planned flights into the airport, causing delays for other travelers. According to airport statistics, Harry Reid International Airport handles over 370,000 operations and more than 34 million passengers annually.
McCarthy, 53, responded to her husband's Instagram post with prayer hands and heart emojis, writing, "God is so good!!!!" The couple has been married since 2014. Wahlberg is known for his role as Detective Danny Reagan in the long-running CBS series "Blue Bloods," which concluded its 14-season run in December 2024. He also stars in the "Blue Bloods" spin-off "Boston Blue."
