Former President Donald Trump posted multiple times on his Truth Social platform in the early hours of Tuesday, expressing strong opposition to communism and criticizing economic conditions.
One post, sent at 2:38 a.m. ET, read, "America the Beautiful will NEVER be a Communist Country!!! President DJT." This statement may have been a reaction to primary election results in New York, where candidates endorsed by the city's democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani reportedly performed well.
Earlier posts from Tuesday included a 12:12 a.m. ET message lamenting that oil prices had not decreased sufficiently, a situation the post attributed to the launch of his administration's Iran war. Approximately 20 minutes prior, Trump had also expressed frustration about what he described as "many communists" allegedly operating in "badly failing Blue States."
Earlier in the day, Trump had also commented on attorney George Conway, who lost his primary election. Trump is known for his frequent criticism of individuals and groups he perceives as being on the political left.
