During a campaign event in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Donald Trump paused his speech to briefly interact with a young boy who had wandered onto the stage.

Trump had invited a family onstage at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa to highlight his administration's economic policies. He introduced the boy's mother, Sandra, a casino waitress, and his father, Brad, a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer, stating they had saved thousands of dollars due to his tax policies on tips and overtime. As Sandra began to speak, her son unexpectedly ran across the stage.

After moving to stop the child from leaving the platform, and as the audience laughed, Trump commented, “I didn’t want him to be like Biden and fall off the stage.” This remark appeared to reference an incident where President Joe Biden fell during a U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony in 2023.

The child was then reunited with his mother, who thanked Trump before continuing her remarks.
