Donald Trump Impersonator Crashes 'SNL UK' Sketch

Donald Trump, portrayed by James Austin Johnson, made an unannounced appearance on the U.K. version of "Saturday Night Live" during a sketch that depicted a meeting between U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Johnson's Trump character interrupted the meeting after Prime Minister Burnham mentioned POTUS' name. The impersonator claimed he was in England to see comedian Russell Brand, who is currently on trial for rape and sexual assault charges, which Brand denies. "I’m in town to see my favorite comedian," the Trump character stated. "He’s performing live at the High Court in the role of defendant."

The character then offered to swap jobs with Burnham, describing America as "a real mess" and "an awful, awful job" filled with "disgusting people." Burnham declined the offer.

Responding to the rejection, Trump's character asserted, "Come on, this country has gone to the dogs, and I alone can fix it," before riffing on various controversial issues in the U.K. He also criticized British comedy, suggesting that "SNL UK" was struggling if it lacked a proper impersonator for the president.

After his attempts to convince both Burnham and Zelenskyy to exchange positions proved unsuccessful, the sketch concluded with Burnham telling Zelenskyy, "As dire as things may be, what matters most is that we all be nice to this insane man."
