Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has denied making an off-color joke about performing a sex act on a Smurf, which was reportedly made while he was waiting in line at Big Olaf Ice Cream in Sag Harbor. A source told the New York Post that a stranger, with a blue-frosted mouth, walked out of the shop and another customer made the joke.

The man with the blue mouth, upon hearing the remark, reportedly recognized Lemon and asked if he was the former anchor. Lemon, when reached for comment about the July 29 incident, expressed surprise and stated, “I didn’t realize Smurfs were a protected class.”
