Dominick Bianchi, Newlywed Found Dead in Upstate New York, Remembered as Friend and Yankees Fan
An obituary released for Dominick Bianchi, who was found dead days after going missing, highlighted his passions and relationships.
Dominick Bianchi, the newlywed husband found deceased in an upstate New York wooded area after disappearing, has been remembered in a heartfelt obituary as a loyal friend and avid fan of the New York Yankees.
Bianchi, 35, a native of Schenectady, was discovered by authorities in East Greenbush on Sunday. His disappearance was reported earlier in the week, and he left behind his cellphone, wallet, and vehicle.
His marriage to Julianna Zyra occurred just four months prior to his death. His wife had previously shared that Bianchi had been grappling with mental health challenges in the period leading up to his passing.
An obituary stated that Bianchi was an "exceptional friend," nurturing lifelong friendships from childhood and readily forming new connections. He graduated from Mohonasen High School in 2009 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Siena College in 2014. He was employed as the Manager of Agency Marketing at Renaissance.
Bianchi's passion for baseball extended to being a lifelong supporter of the Yankees. His love for music also led him to travel across the United States to attend concerts by his favorite artists, according to the obituary.
The cause of death has not been officially released. Zyra had previously mentioned that her husband was dealing with mental health issues and had also been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
He is survived by his wife, whom the obituary described as "the love of his life," his parents, and two siblings, along with other extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Breakthrough T1D, an organization dedicated to supporting type 1 diabetes research.
