Dolph Lundgren, 68, made a public appearance with his wife Emma Krokdal, 30, at the All-Stars for Change charity event in Beverly Hills on Thursday. The actor, who announced he was cancer-free in November 2024 after a nearly decade-long battle with kidney cancer, appeared healthy and vibrant.
Lundgren wore a black suit, white dress shirt, and beige sneakers. Krokdal, a personal trainer whom Lundgren married in 2023, wore a black off-the-shoulder dress. The event benefitted After-School All-Stars, a nonprofit founded by Lundgren's friend Arnold Schwarzenegger that provides after-school and summer programs for children.
Lundgren was also seen mixing cocktails for attendees at the event, held at Novikov Beverly Hills. The Swedish-American action star has spoken about embracing life with renewed gratitude following his health ordeal.
He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015, leading to the removal of a tumor from his left kidney. After five years without symptoms, new tumors were discovered in his abdominal area in 2020. Lundgren recalled that a doctor suggested he might have two to three years left to live. After obtaining a second opinion, he received targeted therapy that successfully reduced the tumors.
Lundgren's recent public appearances include attending the Los Angeles premiere of the Masters of the Universe reboot in May with Krokdal and his daughter Greta. Lundgren had a cameo in the reboot as a gym-goer, passing the torch to the new He-Man, played by Nicholas Galitzine.
Galitzine, 31, described feeling like a "complete fraud" when he first tried on the He-Man costume, citing a lack of adequate time for his physical transformation. He noted the intensity of filming while on a strict cutting diet.
Lundgren, known for his role as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, expressed that there is "still something special" about the Masters of the Universe franchise, recalling its origins in the 1980s.
