Dolly Parton's Staff Flee Office Amid Nephew's Alleged Threats

Employees of Dolly Parton’s management company, She’s Alive, LLC., have reportedly fled the office and are seeking private security over alleged threatening text messages sent by Parton’s nephew, Bryan Seaver. Court documents filed by the management company indicate that personnel have resigned and some staff members have ceased coming to the office due to Seaver’s alleged messages.

She’s Alive, LLC. stated in the court filings that it has been forced to hire private security for its employees, including at their homes, to address the situation. The company described the impact as “continuing operational paralysis,” asserting that it cannot effectively manage Parton’s legacy while employees and business partners feel threatened.

According to the documents, Seaver, who was recently dismissed from his longtime role as head of security for Parton, allegedly sent messages identifying himself as an “international arms dealer and mercenary” and stating, “I’m a killer.” The management company also claims that following Parton's death in August, Seaver bragged, warned that “Everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” and vowed to “destroy the entire brand” and “ratf–k every entity.” Seaver allegedly conveyed to Parton’s attorney, “I’m not an entertainment person. I’m a killer.”

The management company filed these documents to bolster its request for a temporary restraining order against Seaver and his security company. TMZ was the first to report on the developments.

Separately, Parton’s manager of over two decades, Donny Nozell, has also filed a lawsuit seeking a restraining order against Seaver. Nozell claims Seaver is attempting to extort him for money and has been making threats. Nozell alleges that Seaver, invoking his “self-proclaimed military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence,” demanded money and began issuing threats weeks before Parton’s death.

In response to the allegations, Seaver claimed to TMZ that the messages were taken out of context. He stated, “Nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by. I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster.” Seaver added, “A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.”

Seaver, the son of Dolly Parton's sister Cassie, also criticized Nozell and Pinnacle Bank for his dismissal from his security position. He expressed being “dismayed by the unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions” taken since the country music icon’s passing. Seaver and his team released a statement saying they “refuse to be intimidated by those whose actions we believe are being taken in bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much.”

Seaver had previously announced Parton’s death in an Instagram video on August 25, noting his role as her head of security for over two decades, a position held by his father before him. He also attended Parton's memorial service in Nashville with other close relatives.
