Dolly Parton's Sister Addresses Family Feud Rumors Amidst Nephew's Firing and Restraining Order

Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella Parton, has addressed rumors of a family feud, issuing a statement that emphasizes family unity and strength during a difficult period. The comments come after the reported firing of Dolly Parton’s nephew and head of security, Bryan Seaver.

“All families have the same struggles since we are all living in this world having a human experience,” Stella Parton wrote on Facebook. “We are still intact and moving forward because our children and grandchildren look to us for strength and guidance during this difficult time of loss and confusion for them as well.”

Stella, 77, advised the public to approach online reports with caution. “Regardless of what you may have seen on different news outlets, we are all doing what you would be doing under the same circumstances,” she stated.

The remarks follow reports that Seaver, who had served as Parton’s head of security, was dismissed on September 16. A new security company has since taken over the protection of Parton’s properties in Nashville, Tennessee, including her home, museum, and warehouse.

Seaver’s former security team expressed dismay at the abrupt dismissal, suggesting that changes occurring since Parton's passing might be conducted in “bad faith.” They asserted their commitment to fulfilling Parton’s “final directive to protect her family” and stated they refuse to be intimidated by actions they believe are intended to profit from Parton's legacy.

Adding to the family's turmoil, Dolly Parton’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, filed a restraining order against Seaver. According to reports, Nozell alleges that Seaver made threats and attempted to extort money from him, both before and after Parton's death on August 25.

Nozell’s filings claim Seaver threatened to use his “military-contractor experience, access to weapons, and capacity for violence” to obtain funds. Messages cited in the restraining order include Seaver allegedly stating, “All I do is warfare…everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,” and “Her money better be bigger than I can make elsewhere or I’m going to f–k everyone…I am about to become the hand of retribution for my entire family.”
