Dolly Parton's Nephew Fired as Security Chief, Cites 'Bad Faith' Actions
Bryan Seaver and his team claim they are being intimidated following his dismissal from his role overseeing the late singer's security.
Dolly Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, has publicly stated he refuses to be intimidated after being fired from his longtime position as head of security for the late country music icon's estate. Seaver and his security team expressed dismay over the "unexpected and, so far, unexplained actions" that have taken place since Parton's death on August 25.
In a statement to TMZ, Seaver and his team asserted their belief that the recent actions are being taken in "bad faith and with the intent to profit from the life of someone who willingly gave so much." They also emphasized their commitment to fulfilling Parton's "final directive to protect her family."
Seaver, who is the son of Dolly Parton's sister Cassie, had served as head of security for over two decades. His father, Larry, previously held the role. Seaver was the one who announced Parton's death via an Instagram video, revealing it was something Parton had requested of him years prior.
According to reports, Seaver and his security companies were dismissed from all of Parton's properties last week. New security teams have reportedly been installed at Parton's Nashville residence, museum, downtown property, and warehouse.
Despite his termination as head of security, Seaver reportedly retains a personal interest in Parton's trust, which encompasses her business interests and properties.
Parton, who secretly battled cancer before her passing, was buried on August 28 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville, beside her late husband, Carl Dean. Her cousin, Richie Owens, shared that the burial was intentionally "very quiet" and "very quickly done," as it was Parton's wish for a small service.
