A bitter family dispute is unfolding behind the scenes of Dolly Parton’s $450 million estate, with allegations of threats and intimidation directed at employees and business partners. The conflict centers on Bryan Seaver, Parton’s nephew and former head of security, who has been accused of sending threatening messages.

An insider told Page Six that while many family members publicly defend Seaver, not all are in agreement. This source described Seaver as a "fraud" and suggested that Parton herself began to question his authority before her death.

"Dolly eventually realized he was becoming too powerful and that maybe his intentions weren’t great, but she didn’t know how to approach that," the source claimed, adding that Parton "wasn’t a confrontational person." The family has largely remained silent on the internal matters, a decision likely aimed at protecting Parton’s reputation and the family name. However, a cryptic Instagram comment from Parton’s niece, Danielle Parton, who was recently named the official brand ambassador for Dolly’s estate, has hinted at existing friction with Seaver.

Seaver himself stated on Facebook that he and his children were not invited to a recent Country Music Association tribute event honoring his aunt, while the rest of his family attended. "The rest of my entire family was invited. A few attended. My kids and I were told not to attend. Such is life…," he wrote.

In September, Danny Nozell, Parton’s longtime manager and head of She’s Alive, LLC, filed a lawsuit seeking a restraining order against Seaver. This action followed Seaver’s termination as head of Parton’s security. Nozell’s legal filing alleged that Seaver, invoking his military-contractor background and access to weapons, began threatening Nozell weeks before Parton's death.

Employees reportedly ceased coming to the office due to fear stemming from Seaver’s alleged text messages. According to the lawsuit, some messages included threats to "ratf–k every [Dollywood business partner] entity [he] can possibly conjure" and a declaration to become "the hand of retribution for my entire family."

Further allegations indicate Seaver "menaced and intimidated" staff at Dolly’s SongTeller Hotel and Life of Many Colors Museum. He also reportedly sent an expletive-filled email to an employee, threatening legal action.

However, a source previously suggested Nozell might have ulterior motives, aiming to "turn her house into Graceland" and implying that Nozell lacks Parton’s "heart."

Seaver’s attorneys have disputed the claims, stating that the text messages were misleading and taken out of context during a time of mourning. "Seeing text messages that are misleading and taken out of context has been very hurtful to our client and his family," they told Page Six.

Seaver was reportedly the one who announced Parton's death at age 80, following a private battle with cancer. The next court hearing in the case is scheduled for November 3.
