Dolly Parton was unable to attend a major event at her theme park, Dollywood, on Friday due to ongoing health issues. Her doctor advised her to remain in Nashville and avoid travel, citing symptoms of dehydration and dizziness.

Parton, 80, had been scheduled to appear in person for the opening of the park's new NightFlight Expedition roller coaster. Instead, she addressed the crowd via a video message, apologizing for her absence. "I’m supposed to be there in person, like we planned," Parton said in the video. "Now I’ve told you before, all my fans, that I have had a few little health issues. And sometimes I get a little dizzy, and I get dehydrated."

She explained that her doctor had "clipped my wings" and told her she would not be traveling that week. Parton emphasized her desire to keep her fans informed about her well-being.

This latest absence comes as Parton continues to manage health concerns that have led her to scale back some public appearances. In May, she announced the cancellation of her planned Las Vegas residency, which had already been postponed. At that time, she stated that while she was responding well to treatments and improving daily, she was not yet physically ready for stage performances. She mentioned that some medications caused her to feel "swimmy-headed."

Parton has previously spoken about kidney stone issues and stated that her immune and digestive systems had been "out of whack" and were undergoing treatment. She has consistently assured fans that her conditions are treatable and that she is making progress.
