Dolly Alderton Weds Hedge Fund Executive in Secret Ceremony

Dolly Alderton, the popular dating columnist and author, known for her best-selling memoir "Everything I Know About Love," has married in secret. She exchanged vows last month with hedge fund executive Jeremy ‘Jez’ Lawson.

The ceremony took place at Islington town hall in north London, with a small group of guests in attendance. Alderton, 38, reportedly wore an elegant white suit and a wide-brimmed hat, a look that some observers noted echoed Carrie Bradshaw's bridal style from "Sex and the City."

Among the guests were novelist Elizabeth Day and actress Emma Corrin, who recently starred as Princess Diana in the Netflix drama "The Crown." Corrin also features in an upcoming adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice," for which Alderton penned the script.

Photographs were reportedly not encouraged at the intimate event. The bride is said to have delivered a speech described as both "hilarious and heartfelt." The couple's honeymoon was a trip aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, an experience Alderton later described as "the most truly decadent and magical few days that I will never forget."

This wedding contrasts with Lawson's previous marriage in 2017, which was a three-day celebration in Phuket, Thailand. His best man at that event was Archie Keswick, a descendant of the Jardine Matheson dynasty. Lawson and his then-bride Victoria Pye reportedly arrived at their 2017 wedding to the theme music from "Star Wars."
