Freddy Brazier's ex-partner, Holly Swinburn, has revealed that she found a new home for his dog, Pablo, after the pocket bully breed attacked Brazier and his grandmother, Jackiey Budden.
Pablo was seized by police and faced being euthanized following the attacks. Swinburn stated that Jeff Brazier, Freddy's father, contacted her about the dog being put down if a suitable home was not found. She explained that she could not keep the dog due to having a baby and that her mother arranged for the dog to move in with her neighbor. The dog's microchip has been changed to reflect the new owner.
"He has had his micro-chip changed so he officially belongs to a new owner. He is happy and healthy and will have a good life away from Freddy. I hope he never sees him again," Swinburn told The Sun.
Swinburn previously claimed that the dog had been mistreated. She shared a photo of Pablo, stating, "This is Pablo. I had to give him to someone as I was struggling with a baby and a dog, he has been mistreated there and attacked them to protect himself. He's the nicest dog and this is totally out of character for him. He wouldn't hurt a fly."
This statement followed Brazier's account of the incident. He reported being mauled by Pablo when he went to collect the dog from his grandmother's home. Brazier described the attack as terrifying, stating he could not feel his right arm and discovered a 3cm hole after seeing blood on his tracksuit. He spent eight hours in the hospital receiving stitches for the injury.
Brazier expressed his devastation at the potential loss of Pablo, whom he considers like a son. He stated his grandmother would not allow the dog back to her house, and his father also would not take him. Pablo was in police kennels at the time.
Budden was also injured while attempting to pull Pablo off of Brazier during the attack. Neighbors had previously called emergency services on July 16 after hearing screams as the dog gripped Budden, requiring her to seek medical treatment. Four days later, Pablo attacked again, injuring both Budden and Brazier.
