Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers Tarik Skubal and Blake Snell, both Cy Young Award winners, engaged in a lighthearted social media exchange regarding Skubal's attendance at a recent Los Angeles Rams game.
Skubal was present at SoFi Stadium for the Rams' Monday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants. Photos of Skubal at the game circulated on social media, prompting a playful jab from Snell. "You think you know a guy… then he goes to the rams game solo… @tarikskubal," Snell commented on an Instagram post featuring Skubal.
This marked Skubal's first Rams game since being traded to the Dodgers at the league's trade deadline. He was not the only Dodgers player in attendance, as Mookie Betts also shared a suite with Myles Garrett, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, who is currently on injured reserve.
The Dodgers are currently in contention in the National League, trailing the first-place Milwaukee Brewers by two games. The team secured the division title last week and is now focused on clinching a first-round bye in the upcoming playoffs. Skubal is expected to play a significant role for the Dodgers in the postseason, posting a 2.95 ERA since joining the team. The Dodgers plan to rely on their starting rotation to support their World Series aspirations.
