Dodgers' NLCS Schedule Features Weekday Afternoon Start Time
Major League Baseball announced start times for the National League Championship Series, with Game 2 set for an early afternoon slot on a weekday.
Major League Baseball announced the schedule and broadcast times for the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers, revealing that Game 2 will feature an early afternoon start time on a weekday.
This marks the second consecutive series for the Dodgers where a weekday afternoon start time has been scheduled, a situation that has drawn criticism from fans for its inconvenience. The early start mirrors the schedule for Games 3 and 4 of their NL Division Series against the Atlanta Braves.
The NLCS is set to begin on Sunday with Game 1 at 5 p.m. Pacific time from American Family Field in Milwaukee. Game 2 on Monday will commence at 2 p.m. local time in Los Angeles. The series will then shift to Dodger Stadium for Game 3 on Wednesday at 5 p.m., followed by Game 4 on Thursday at 6 p.m., and a potential Game 5 on Friday at 6 p.m.
Should the series extend to six or seven games, they will be played back in Milwaukee. Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at 5 p.m. Pacific time, with a deciding Game 7 on Monday, October 19, also at 5 p.m. Pacific time. All games will be broadcast on Fox or FS1.
The Dodgers are aiming to reach the World Series for the third consecutive year, a feat not achieved by an National League team since the St. Louis Cardinals in the early 1940s. They are also pursuing the first World Series three-peat by an NL team in baseball history. The Dodgers swept the Brewers in the NLCS last year en route to their second consecutive World Series title.
