Dodgers-Brewers NLCS Draws Massive Viewership for Fox
Game 1 of the National League Championship Series became the most-watched LCS opener on Fox since 2005, attracting over 10.7 million viewers.
Game 1 of the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and the Brewers captivated an audience of over 10.7 million viewers on Sunday night in Milwaukee. This viewership made it the most-watched opening League Championship Series game on Fox and Fox Deportes since 2005.
The telecast also marked the most-watched LCS broadcast on any network since 2010, representing a 104% increase compared to last year's ALCS Game 1. The viewership peaked between 8:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. ET, reaching 12.4 million viewers.
The series has seen the Brewers take an early lead, winning Game 1 with a 2-1 score and following up with a victory in Game 2. In Game 1, Dodgers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal had his shortest postseason outing, allowing two runs in five innings. Despite strong performances from the Dodgers' bullpen, the offense struggled to generate runs against the Brewers' pitching, including National League Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski.
The offensive challenges continued into Game 2, where the Dodgers scored four runs but saw another brief outing from their starting pitcher, Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The team managed only three hits in Game 2, with Shohei Ohtani going hitless. Ohtani's postseason slump has led manager Dave Roberts to move him to the sixth spot in the batting order for Game 3.
Game 3 of the NLCS is scheduled to take place at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday, with first pitch at 5:00 p.m. Blake Snell is slated to pitch for the Dodgers, and Robert Gasser will start for the Brewers.
