Blake Snell struck out nine batters but was ultimately undone by three home runs in Game 3 of the NLCS on Wednesday night, as the Dodgers lost to the Brewers 4-2.

Snell, who entered the postseason without allowing a single home run during the regular season, gave up three to the Brewers.

Jackson Chourio put the Brewers on the board in the first inning with a solo home run off a 97.6 mph fastball.

After settling in and striking out nine batters, Snell surrendered the lead in the sixth inning. He then immediately gave it back up in the seventh after issuing a walk to Andrew Vaughn to start the inning. Brewers manager Pat Murphy pinch-ran Christian Yelich for Vaughn.

Jake Bauers then stepped to the plate for a lengthy 11-pitch at-bat against Snell. After hooking a potential home run foul on the 10th pitch, Bauers launched a 97.8 mph four-seam fastball over the right field fence for a 412-foot home run on the next pitch.

In the subsequent at-bat, Snell left a changeup over the plate that was hit 428 feet over the center-field fence for another home run, giving the Brewers a 4-2 lead.

Snell was removed from the game after the back-to-back home runs. He finished the night having allowed four hits, four runs, and two walks over his outing.
