Dodgers and Braves Face Off in Pivotal NLDS Game 4

The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to face the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on October 7, with the game scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The matchup features a pitching duel between Tyler Glasnow of the Dodgers and Tyler Mahle of the Braves.

Atlanta finds itself in a precarious position, needing a victory at their home field, Truist Park, to prevent their season from concluding. Key offensive players for the Braves, including Ronald Acuña Jr., Drake Baldwin, Matt Olson, and Ozzie Albies, will be crucial for their success. Mahle, pitching in a high-stakes game, acknowledged the challenge, stating, "All you can do out there is make pitches. I’m not trying to trick them. [The Dodgers] know. They’ve seen me. I’m sure they’ll watch film, whatever. So it’s making pitches at the right times and that’s all you can hope to do."

Despite Atlanta's need for a win, oddsmakers favor the Dodgers to close out the series. Los Angeles enters the game as -150 favorites on the moneyline. Glasnow, a right-handed pitcher, has a 2-1 career record against Atlanta in six appearances dating back to 2017. However, in their most recent encounter on August 25, Glasnow, in his first start after a 3.5-month layoff, received a no-decision, allowing three runs in five innings in a 4-3 Dodgers loss.

Mahle, a veteran right-hander, holds a 3-3 record against the Dodgers with a 3.15 earned run average over his career.

For fans without cable, the game can be streamed for free via a five-day trial of DIRECTV's Choice package, which includes FS1. The NLDS schedule is as follows:

Game 1: Dodgers 5, Braves 3 Game 2: Braves 3, Dodgers 2 Game 3: Dodgers 3, Braves 1 Game 4: Oct. 7, 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET (FS1) Game 5: Oct. 8, 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET (FOX)*
