A wealthy Long Island doctor is facing a lawsuit alleging he carried on a months-long affair with a stripper, promising to leave his wife for her. The relationship reportedly soured into legal disputes after the stripper revealed the affair to the doctor's wife, leading to counter-accusations of blackmail and extortion.
Rosana Kissoon, 39, filed a lawsuit in Suffolk County Supreme Court claiming that Dr. Keith Hoerning, a 51-year-old married father of two, pursued her romantically after they met at a gentlemen's club in late 2024. According to the lawsuit, Hoerning showered Kissoon with gifts, professing his love and repeatedly assuring her that he would leave his wife.
The affair allegedly became intimate in February 2025 and continued for approximately 18 months. During this time, Hoerning allegedly sent Kissoon messages expressing his love and promising a future together, while also providing substantial financial support through electronic transfers.
However, the relationship reportedly began to unravel in May 2026 when a lawyer representing Hoerning sent Kissoon a cease-and-desist letter. The letter demanded she stop contacting Hoerning and his family and threatened federal criminal prosecution. The lawsuit claims Hoerning resumed affectionate contact with Kissoon shortly after this letter.
On May 26, 2026, Kissoon reportedly contacted Nicole Hoerning, Keith Hoerning's wife, to disclose the alleged affair. Following this revelation, Hoerning allegedly made approximately 18 calls to Kissoon the same day. The following evening, Hoerning reportedly went to the Suffolk County Police Department, seeking to have Kissoon arrested and accusing her of aggravated harassment, threatening his family, and "destroying his business."
Hoerning also filed a sworn Family Court petition, claiming Kissoon had threatened to hire "goons" to harm him and his family and had sent a picture of a handgun, along with a statement about having a firearms license. The lawsuit contends the image was of a framed "Scarface" movie poster display and that Kissoon never owned a gun or a firearms license.
Nicole Hoerning subsequently filed her own Family Court case against Kissoon. The lawsuit notes discrepancies between the accounts provided by Keith and Nicole Hoerning regarding the alleged threats and the nature of the evidence presented.
Kissoon's lawsuit accuses both Keith and Nicole Hoerning of a coordinated campaign to silence and discredit her. She is seeking damages exceeding $1 million for abuse of process, intentional infliction of emotional distress, financial harm, and defamation. Kissoon states she has incurred significant legal fees, lost her job at a healthcare facility, and suffered emotional distress as a result of the legal actions against her.
Hoerning's attorney, Bruce Barket, has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit "filled with lies" and asserting it is an attempt at blackmail and extortion. Barket claims they possess text messages and voice recordings that will prove an extortion plot and intends to file counterclaims.
Dr. Hoerning is a family physician with 25 years of experience and co-founder of Modern Dose, a wellness and aesthetics center. He and his wife reside with their two children in Greenlawn, New York.
