DJ Fat Tony, a friend of the Beckham family and the DJ at Brooklyn Beckham's 2022 wedding, has again addressed the public fallout between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria.

Tony, 60, stated that the public should refrain from judging any individuals involved in the dispute, emphasizing the personal toll it has taken on the family. "Before judging, people should remember that two parents have lost their first-born son and a son has lost his parents," he told The Times. He added, "All families have dramas, but they just happen to be the Beckhams."

Tony's involvement intensified when his husband, Stavros Agapiou, commented on a social media post supporting Brooklyn's claims that Victoria had danced "inappropriately" at his wedding. Tony later appeared on the British television show This Morning in January to discuss the situation, stating he had been asked to speak by Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz via a WhatsApp group.

He clarified his comments on This Morning, explaining that the term "inappropriate" referred to the timing and awkwardness of an incident during the wedding reception. According to Tony, musician Marc Anthony called Brooklyn onto the stage during his performance and then invited Victoria Beckham to join him. Anthony then instructed Brooklyn to "put your hands on your mother's hips" for a dance. Tony said Brooklyn appeared "devastated" that his first dance with his wife had been replaced by this moment with his mother, and that Nicola Peltz left the room visibly upset.

"There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!" Tony asserted on This Morning, attempting to correct what he described as sensationalized interpretations of the events. He stressed that Brooklyn's feelings of discomfort and awkwardness were the basis of his description.

Brooklyn Beckham himself released a six-page statement in January, detailing what he described as a long history of parental control and press manipulation. He claimed his parents had tried to pressure him into signing away rights to his name before his wedding and that his mother had cancelled making his bride's dress at the last minute. Beckham also stated his family had repeatedly disrespected his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Tony expressed a desire for reconciliation, stating on This Morning, "I always like to see a happy ending, and I think that they will as a family all get back together. It’s really sad... It was getting to the point where everyone forgot the reality was that some kid’s hurting and a family’s lost their son."

He also mentioned that after his husband's comment, he received numerous interview requests from global media, including a call from Piers Morgan, which he declined. Tony emphasized that his intention was not to "slag off Victoria and David" but to speak from the heart in what he considered a safe space on television.

Tony suggested that Brooklyn's public statement was an effort to "change the narrative" after a lifetime of being labeled a "nepo baby." He believes the focus has been lost on the underlying family pain, stating, "I think what we’re all missing here is the fact that parents have lost their child and a son has lost his parents."
