Divorce Lawyers Accused of Bullying and Toxic Behavior
A woman recounts her harrowing experience with divorce lawyers, detailing alleged bullying, toxic emails, and personal attacks.
A woman has detailed her ordeal with divorce lawyers, describing a pattern of alleged bullying and toxic behavior that she claims nearly broke her. Annalie Howling recounted receiving vitriolic, personal, and combative emails daily during a holiday she had planned with her daughter.
Howling stated that the emails arrived every day of her vacation, targeting her with what she described as personal attacks. She was reportedly shamed for purchasing new underwear and received emails as late as 5 p.m. on a Friday. At one point, she was allegedly told to simply 'get a job.'
Her divorce was described as financially punitive, costing her over £100,000 and being emotionally draining. Despite the difficult experience, Howling has since found a new partner, tech investor Alex, whom she met online approximately three-and-a-half years ago. She noted that she and her ex-partner, Harry, first met at Royal Ascot in 2010.
Howling's account highlights the severe emotional and financial toll that legal battles, particularly divorces, can exact. The alleged behavior of the lawyers in her case suggests a level of unprofessionalism and personal animosity that went beyond standard legal proceedings.
