Disneyland has been identified as the least affordable theme park in the United States, according to a new analysis of attraction costs. A visit to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure in Anaheim carries an estimated total cost of $331.03, the study found.
This figure includes a $199 admission ticket, $40 for parking, and $92.03 for additional expenses. This makes a day at the "Happiest Place on Earth" more than double the cost of visiting Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California, which was ranked the most affordable theme park in the state and 14th nationwide.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom had an estimated total cost of $159.44, comprising a $49 admission ticket, $39 for parking, and $71.44 in additional trip expenses.
The ranking considered eight California attractions. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia was the next California park on the list, ranking 20th overall with an estimated cost of $171.12. This includes $65 for admission, $40 for parking, and $66.12 in other expenses.
Belmont Park in San Diego ranked 25th, with a total estimated cost of $195.55. It was noted as the only California attraction with free parking, with its admission costing $64.95 and other expenses totaling $130.60.
California's Great America in Santa Clara followed at 30th place, with an estimated cost of $223.34. This breaks down to $55 for admission, $39 for parking, and $129.34 in additional expenses.
Knott's Berry Farm ranked 31st with an estimated price tag of $231.91, including $79 for admission, $40 for parking, and $112.91 in other costs.
Universal Studios Hollywood ranked 36th, with a total estimated cost of $268.39, including a $154 ticket, $40 parking fee, and $74.39 in additional expenses.
Nationwide, Quassy Amusement Park in Connecticut was found to be the most affordable attraction with a total estimated cost of $76.43. Fun Spot America Themepark in Orlando followed at $117.56, and Castles N’ Coasters in Arizona was third at $129.63.
Florida's Magic Kingdom was identified as the third-most expensive attraction analyzed, ranking 38th with an estimated total cost of $296.80.
