Walt Disney World is offering eligible guests exclusive after-hours access to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this fall, providing an opportunity to ride select attractions with reduced wait times. This special event, known as Extended Evening Hours, is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, and will replace the typical late-night perk previously held at Magic Kingdom.

The shift in location is due to the increased frequency of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party evenings at Magic Kingdom. The Extended Evening Hours will allow guests to experience attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Slinky Dog Dash, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror after regular park closing.

Other attractions available during these extended hours include Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Toy Story Mania!, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Star Tours — The Adventures Continue. Select dining locations and merchandise shops will also remain open.

Access to the Extended Evening Hours is limited to guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and certain partner hotels, including the Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green. These extended hours aim to provide added value for guests willing to book stays at these higher-tier accommodations.

Disney has also recently offered Extended Evening Hours at Animal Kingdom on Aug. 26 and Sept. 2. These initiatives come as the company introduces various incentives to encourage fall vacation bookings amidst rising theme park costs. For instance, a recent promotion offers Disney+ subscribers discounts of up to 25% on select Walt Disney World hotel stays and complimentary Park Hopper ticket upgrades when booking qualifying vacation packages. These offers join existing discounts for Florida residents and Annual Passholders, as Disney seeks to offset increasing ticket prices, which are projected to reach $219 per person for a one-day Magic Kingdom admission on peak dates through October 2027.
