Disney Parks Anticipate Annual Ticket Price Increase in October

Disneyland and Disney World are expected to implement their annual ticket price increases in early October, a tradition that typically coincides with the start of Disney's fiscal year. Fans are bracing for the potential for higher admission costs, with some anticipating the changes could take effect as early as October 6 or 7.

Past price adjustments have consistently occurred in the second week of October, with notable increases on October 11, 2023, October 9, 2024, and October 8, 2025. This pattern suggests that an announcement and subsequent price hike for 2026 are imminent.

Fans looking to visit the parks are being advised by Disney-focused publications like MousePlanet to secure their tickets before the anticipated increase. The outlet noted that vacation planners often rush to purchase tickets at the current prices in the days immediately following a price hike.

Currently, one-day passes for Disneyland range from $104 to $224 on the official Disney website. Tickets purchased now are valid for an extended period, with one-day tickets valid through December 2027 and multi-day tickets usable within 13 days of their first use or by January 12, 2028. In 2025, ticket prices for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure saw an average increase of 3.3%. The most expensive single-day, single-park ticket reached $224 last year, while the cheapest remained $104 since 2019. The cheapest one-day parkhopper ticket was priced at $174 in 2025.

Beyond admission, price increases have also been observed across a wider range of park offerings. Reports indicate that over 800 menu items at 178 dining locations within the parks and resort hotels have seen price adjustments. These increases, averaging around 8%, affect popular items such as churros, funnel cakes, Mickey beignets, and bottled water. Some food items, like the bean-and-cheese burrito and wedge salad, experienced price jumps exceeding $3.

These ongoing price adjustments have led to some frustration among park visitors. A spokesperson for Disneyland stated last year following price hikes that the parks offer a "full day of experiences" with options designed for various budgets and that their "commitment to creating magical experiences for everyone remains at the heart of what we do."
